Once again Torys seem to be stealing Labour's cloths.
Personally this looks to like an intelligent, far sighted and strategically sound investment for this country; that despite U.K.'s traditional hostility to state involvement in private markets.
Whilst I don't quite agree that Billion, ($) is the new million; the amount involved isn't really that huge by current standards and despite an element if risk, is probably a far better investment that all the money that Labour were proposing to dole out to, "our," mates and partners to fund dubious, "bandwagon," projects like those dubious Climate Change Apprenticeships, (one reason why I didn't vote for Labour,) they were touting at the last election.
