what can we do to reduce fragmentation of the education system?

Having heard a teacher and union rep talking about eduation at my local CLP meeting, I would say that it is essential to make sure that early years and sixth form are funded as well as the rest of the education service.

It is also very important that creative subjects are as encouraged and valued as academic ones. This could be done by removing the scales which measure schools based only on those academic subjects.

The Early Years, Education and Skills Policy Commission looks at issues relating to children’s wellbeing, development and care, as well as education training and skills from childhood through adulthood.
