We need a clear policy on immigration. Is it 'open door' - anyone from anywhere can come and live and work (or not work) and claim benefits and get free healthcare and education and other services for themselves and their extended families - or would there be some regulation and control, and what would the sanctions be for not comlying?

Assuming that there would be some regulation, control and effective sanctions, can we make the process of application easy, simple, transparent and affordable, and clearly different for asylum seekers and economic migrants.

For asylum seeker policy, frame and operate it in partnership with UNHCR.

For economic migrant policy frame and operate it in partnership with employers and trade unions and combine the policy with training for provision for current UK residents.
