National Policy Forum (NPF)

Welcome to Labour’s online home of policy development.

Our new Labour Government is getting on with delivering the Plan for Change, on the path to a decade of national renewal and security. 

We would like to thank all of you who got involved in the last cycle of the NPF and contributed to our election-winning manifesto. We launched the new cycle of the NPF in January 2025.

The National Policy Forum (NPF) plays a crucial role in the development of the Labour Party’s policy platform to support the new Labour Government and build towards the next General Election.  

Our 2024-2025 consultation runs from 31st March to 8th June. We are excited to hear from you.

2025 NPF Consultation

We are delighted to launch the 2024-25 NPF consultation with the theme ‘Fixing the Foundations to Deliver Change’. 

The consultation runs from March 31st until June 8th. During this time, each policy commission has organised a host of events for members, stakeholders, and experts.

Make a submission

We welcome submissions from members of the public, Constituency and Branch Labour Parties, trade unions and socialist societies, as well as contributions from expert organisations such as think tanks, businesses and civil society. 

No matter how new you are to politics or how involved you are in the Party, you can contribute to the Party’s policymaking. All of us will have issues we particularly care about, and expertise and experience we can bring to the Party. 

Before sending your submission, we would recommend reading the 2025 consultation documents.
